ARISE & SHINE!
|
Isaiah 60:1-3 says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
God is beginning to do in these days what has been prophesied in His Word. His Glory - the Manifest Presence of Almighty God - will be seen as never before in the history of the earth.
God has been speaking to us as a Fellowship about a breakthrough in every area, individually, as well as a Fellowship, especially in the area of revival - ‘I hear the sound of abundance of rain’! People released from bondages, signs and wonders in our midst, and a strong sense of a need for holiness in our lives. To experience His Glory as He desires to manifest Himself, we need to obedient in the area of holiness.
Look at verse 3 of the above passage - it talks about people coming “to thy light”. What is ‘thy light’? This is the Glory of God that Isaiah prophesied in verse 1, and that cannot be perfected until we, as the Body of Christ, are willing to yield ourselves - spirit, soul, and body - to God.
Let’s take a look at 2 Corinthians 7:1, “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear (reverence) of God.” What promises is Paul talking about here? Well, if we look back in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 we will have some idea. Paul tells us not to link ourselves up with unbelievers for we, as individual members of the Body of Christ, are the Temple of the Living God - indwelt by His Spirit - and God says, in verse 17 that, if we will separate ourselves FROM those not of like mind UNTO Him, then He will be a Father to us and we shall be His sons and daughters.
We need to ask ourselves this question, do we want God’s Glory to be manifest in our lives as He desires and, if so, are we willing to pay the price? The ‘price’ is not really a ‘price’ at all, only to our flesh, for when we obey Him, we actually get the best out of Life!
ARISE & SHINE - THE GLORY IS HERE - let’s revel in it as we put our God FIRST place and EVERY place in our lives.
